Elevated Learning Example
For a large technology firm, Elevated Learning curriculum designers, course developers, and instructors partnered with internal subject matter experts (SME’s) and training management to design, develop, and deliver a tailored set of courses on the client’s development tools. All courses were developed by Elevated Learning course developers, reviewed by the client SME’s and internal instructors, and initially delivered by Elevated Learning instructors. The final course materials are owned by the client and reproduced internally.
For a large insurance company, Elevated Learning designed a customized Unix and Korn Shell scripting
course that included time for two guest lectures by a company SME. The SME discussed corporate
standards, development environment, and tools that were specific to the client. These lectures
were sequenced in the curriculum so that students would already have the requisite knowledge to
understand the topics being discussed. Because our instructors were present for these mini-lectures
and received all handouts along with the students, they were able to expand on the information
presented, answer questions to clarify the information, and further customize the class on the fly.
Based on our instructor feedback, Elevated Learning proactively modified the lab exercises to adhere
to the client's development standards.
